Promoting quality education for all.

The Story

The quality of learning in schools around the world supports children and youth in building their futures

For years the education community was driven by access--get all children in school by 2015. But now, with the Sustainable Development Goals--the education goal (SDG4) encompasses far more than access--it looks at the quality of learning available as well. This shift--a direct outcome of the work done from 2000-2015--speaks to the knowledge that access is not enough and that we also need to focus on the inputs--teachers, textbooks, curriculum, class size, language of instruction, adequate funding and infrastructure and much more that makes education the tool to build lives, strengthen communities and support families.
